1.The Hot Fish Club
The original Hot Fish Club was established in the late 1700’s. The original club was said to be dedicated to ‘festive times, strong drinks and good food’. Rumor has it that the original location of the club was on Drunken Jack Island, just a little south of the current location. The original club remained open until after the civil war.
Today, The Hot Fish Club is located in Murrells Inlet and the spirit of the founders lives on. Located in the oldest existing restaurant building along the Grand Strand, The Hot Fish Club continues to be a favorite location to meet friends for delicious food, great drinks and superb entertainment. Live music is a staple at The Hot Fish Club with bands performing music ranging from blues, to rock n’ roll and everything in between. 2. The House of Blues
The House of Blues is located in North Myrtle Beach and is favorite venue for those who love ‘the blues’. The first House of Blues was opened in a converted house in Cambridge, Massachusetts in 1992, and since that time, several locations have opened around the country, including North Myrtle Beach. Founder Isaac Tigrett fell in love with blues music as a boy in Tennessee, and through The House of Blues he continues that love while keeping the spirit of the South alive. The House of Blues’s motto is “Where Music Feeds the Soul”, but there is much more than music on the menu. Diners can choose from a wide variety of options including steak, seafood and southern favorites such as shrimp and grits. For more information on upcoming events, menus and hours of operations check out their website.
3.Rodeo Bar and Grill (at Broadway at the Beach)
If country music is more your style then Rodeo Bar and Grill is the place for you. Located at Broadway at the Beach, Rodeo Bar and Grill is a mecca of all things country. Want to ride a mechanical bull? They’ve got you covered. Want to kick up your heels and do a little line dancing? That can also be arranged. Touted as the ‘Best Country Western Experience East of Texas’, Rodeo Bar and Grill offers the only whiskey and bourbon bar on the beach. For a list of upcoming bands check out this link.
