The Grand Strand Regional Medical Center contains 269 beds and is a Level 2 Trauma Center. It has been consistently ranked number 1 in South Carolina by Healthgrades for its cardiac surgery program. This hospital is also certified by the Joint Commission as the only advanced stroke center in Georgetown and Horry counties. A new pediatric unit was also recently completed.

The Conway Medical center is a nonprofit institution with 210 inpatient beds. It also contains a 66 bed long term/skilled care facility, a 22 bed sub-acute care facility and a fitness and wellness center. Conway Medical Center employs more than 1,400 employees.
The hospital has been recognized for outstanding achieving in five out of 6 performance areas in the Premier QUEST 2.0 Program, making Conway Medical one of only 16 hospitals nationally to win the “Premier Quest High Value Healthcare” award.

The South Strand Medical Center contains a 24-hour emergency department. It is equipped with specialized pediatric rooms, a radiology department and also provides lab services, cardiac and pulmonary rehab, as well as medical offices. It also provides services for chronic wound management.

Seacoast Medical Center has a 10 bed ICU as well as 32 medical/surgical beds. It also contains an eight bed progressive care unit. The center also has a 24 hour emergency department and 50 inpatient beds.

In 2004 a new cancer treatment center was opened, allowing area residents to receive specialized cancer treatment, including chemotherapy and radiation, without having to leave the Myrtle Beach area.

The Waccamaw Community hospital offers services including lab, emergency, critical care, imaging and cardiopulmonary treatment. It contains 167 inpatient beds and 43 acute rehabilitation beds. The new medical park campus offers medical offices, rehab services and pain management.
BRUNSWICK COUNTY, N.C., HOSPITALS
Address: 240 Hospital Drive NE, Bolivia, N.C.
Brunswick Novant Medical Center offers 78 all-private rooms, and 5 operating suites. The hospital also has a 24-hour emergency department, maternity care, ICU, lab and surgical services. It is situated about 20-25 miles north of the North Carolina/South Carolina state line.

Dosher Memorial Hospital has a 24 hour emergency department, a full spectrum care program as well as a skilled nursing center. It is located near the Southeastern tip of North Carolina and is about 40 minutes from the state line.
