Intracoastal Waterway (ICW)
Myrtle Beach is part of the U.S. Intracoastal Waterway, otherwise known as the ICW, that stretches 3,000 miles along the Atlantic and Gulf coasts. In South Carolina, the waterway is made of both natural and manmade canals. Residents enjoy watching the boat traffic on the waterway from their screened porches or condominium balconies. For the buyer who is searching for a magnificent showpiece and the pinnacle of opulent living, there are outstanding real estate listings well above the $3 million dollar marker.
Condominium units that are located on the ICW are surprisingly very affordable. You can find a condo in Riverwalk for less than $90k. The Tidewater Golf Club Resort features a health club, tennis courts, swimming pool with hot tub, golf course and clubhouse. There is also the Yacht Club Villas that are part of the Barefoot Resort & Golf planned community. Lauderdale Bay is an upscale gated condo development with lovely water views.
