Ray and Joyce Williams, from rural upstate New York, have always loved Myrtle Beach. Ray, a former New York State Corrections Officer and Joyce, an administrator at a not-for-profit organization dedicated to helping people with disabilities, had meaningful and productive careers, but always felt drawn to the Grand Strand.
“We Spent our honeymoon here 37 ½ years ago and have visited pretty much every year or every other year, thereafter.”
When Ray and Joyce were ready to make a move farther south, they instantly knew where they wanted to start their search.
“Last year circumstances in our lives allowed us the opportunity to move to the beach, and Myrtle Beach was top on our list. So we went for it!”
The Williams knew what they wanted; an open floor plan, three bedrooms so that the grand kids and friends could visit, and a low maintenance yard were all ‘must haves’.
Ray and Joyce contacted Dreamlife Realty to help them buy their dream home.
“We hit it off with her right from the start,” Joyce says, “Her candor and personality were a breath of fresh air for us. We knew she would work very hard to help us find the perfect home, and then negotiate the best deal for us.”
Lorene helped Ray and Joyce find a beautiful ranch home in the Carolina Forest area and, just a few weeks ago, the Williams were able to move in.
“The goal was to have more fun in our lives, more “us” time, and less stress. We were told people would come if we bought here, and that couldn’t be more true! Our daughter and grand kids came the first day and weekend, our good friends, came before that and my sister and husband will be coming in 2 weeks, for a 2 week stay. My brother and sister in law are planning to come after that! How wonderful! I guess Myrtle Beach draws us all!”
Ray and Joyce are looking forward to the future…a future they hope to fill with family and friends, and wonderful memories in Myrtle Beach.
