Sometimes, taking a chance pays off in a big way. For Michael and Marge Rzepka, who have lived in Naperville IL for the past 18 years, visiting the ocean was always something they looked forward to. A couple of years ago, the couple visited Myrtle Beach and fell in love with the wonderful atmosphere of the area as well as the beautiful coastline. The idea of purchasing a second home on the South Carolina coast was very appealing to them, but reaching out to a realtor sight unseen was a bit unsettling.
“Finding a real estate agent on the internet can be scary, not knowing until you meet, how things will work out,” says Marge Rzepka. On their most recent visit the couple was able to look at numerous ocean front condos with the guidance of Lorene.
“We thought we wanted an ocean front condo, but with the help of our wonderful realtor we found a property on the Intracoastal Waterway, gated area (Edgewater) at Barefoot resort. We loved the area and our condo the minute we walked into it.”
“We hope to spend as much time as possible in our second home and have family and friends join us when they are able. Hopefully in a few years we will be able to spend more and more time at our new place.”
The peaceful beauty of Barefoot Resort, coupled with its proximity to the ocean gave the Rzepkas the best of both worlds. Knowing that they’d found the perfect property their decision was made, even though it was totally different than what they thought they’d originally wanted. For the Rzpekas, along with their three children, the future is bright.
