9/11 Events and Memorials in Myrtle Beach, 2014

Every year on September 11th, Americans across the country slow down and remember….remember the fallen civilians, and heroic rescue personnel who perished on that day in 2001. As a nation, it is painful to look back on the events of that day, and yet, we know that our national resolve, patriotism and love for fellow Americans was made stronger because of the tragedy that so deeply affected us all.

This Thursday marks the 13th anniversary of the event that changed our country forever. Below is a list of 9/11 events and memorials in Myrtle Beach and the surrounding areas. We have also included some other events that recognize our veterans, members of the military and their families, as well as our constitution, in celebration of ‘Constitution Week’.

Patriot Day: Appreciation for First Responders and Military

Second annual ‘Golfing for Heroes’ Tournament

Stand Down at the Beach
